Marrakech is where Route Facile is based, so this is the city we know best. Pick up at Menara Airport, in Gueliz, or have the car brought to your riad in the medina — then drive out to the Atlas, Essaouira or the Agafay desert whenever you like. Our entire current fleet consists of 2026 model-year vehicles with unlimited mileage.
Inside the medina you will walk, but everything worth seeing beyond it needs wheels. A car turns the Ourika Valley, the Ouzoud falls, Essaouira and the Agafay desert into easy day trips instead of full-day organised tours. Parking is straightforward in Gueliz and Hivernage, and the road to the Atlas is well surfaced the whole way.
Every rate is one simple price: from 250 MAD (25 €) per day, up to 1,200 MAD (120 €) per day for luxury cars. Full insurance, unlimited mileage and a free second driver are included in that price, and there is no deposit.
Marrakech is the best-located city for day trips in Morocco. Ourika Valley (45 km, 50 min) follows a sealed road to Setti Fatma; the roadside cafes open from 08:00. Ouzoud Falls (150 km, 2h) is a three-lane highway most of the way with parking at the falls. Essaouira (180 km, 2h 15 min) is straight down the motorway — leave at 09:00, walk the port and the medina, and you are back before sunset. Agafay Desert (30 km, 40 min) is a stone desert with lunar landscape; the road is sealed to the first camps and graded thereafter. All five routes are suitable for any car in our fleet.
Inside the medina you walk, but Gueliz and Hivernage have plenty of guarded parking (20-30 MAD per session, most lots close at 22:00). Free street parking is available in the Palmeraie and along Avenue Mohammed VI. Avoid the Jemaa el-Fna ring road between 17:00 and 19:00 — the traffic stalls. Taxis are plentiful and metered for the short trips inside the city; rent a car for the trips outside it.
To rent a car with Route Facile you need a driving licence held for at least one year and a passport (for visitors) or a CIN (for residents). No deposit required. Licences issued in the Latin alphabet are accepted as they are; if yours is in another script, bring an International Driving Permit alongside it. The minimum age is 21. Drivers under 25 are welcome on our economy and compact categories. No security cheque is required. A second driver can be added to the rental at no extra cost — bring their licence and their passport or CIN when you collect the car.
